As part of efforts to ensure that Ekiti United Football Club perform well during the forth coming Nigeria National League, NNL season, the club management has engaged the team in some tune-up games to put the players in top shape.
Top on the bill of some of the games lined up are two-legged friendly matches between Ekiti United and Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin.
Secretary of Ekiti United, Deji Olowolafe told Eyeonthesports.com that the team will play the first leg of the friendly matches against Kwara United at the Ilorin Township Stadium on Friday 31 January, while the Ekiti club will host the Ilorin Afonja boys at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti on Sunday, 2 February, 2014.
Aside from featuring in some local friendly matches in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti United played 2-2 draw against Sunshine Stars of Akure in an explosive friendly match at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State last Sunday, 26 January.
“Our management has been working hard to put Ekiti United in top shape ahead of the new season, that’s why we are engaging the players in some competitive friendly matches, including our games against Kwara United”, Olowolafe told eyeonthesports.com.
