Eaglets’re Unstoppable Machines, Says Amun

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets have been described as unstoppable Machines, that would reign beyond the UAE 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
The assertion was made by Coach Fanny Amun, who was commenting on the brilliant display of the country’s cadet team at the on-going U-17 World Cup in Dubai.
The Eaglets defeated Sweden 3-0 in their semi final match on Tuesday, and will be chasing a 4th Cadet title in Friday’s final when they clash with defending champions, Mexico, whom they defeated 6-1 in an opening group match of the U-17 World Cup.
In Amun’s rating of the Coach Manu Garba-led Eaglets, the lads can win the 2013 U-17 trophy if they maintain their present form.
“I have seen many talents in the present Golden Eaglets squad, and I will call them unstoppable machines. The team are a collection of brilliant young boys, who can rule their generation”, Amun, said on brilafm on Wednesday.
Amun, who led the Eaglets to win the Japan ’93 U-17 World Cup, described the current Eaglets squad as a group of talented young players who can guarantee the future of Nigerian football, but cautioned that the youngsters must remain focused to achieve more success.
“These players would be good replacements for Nigeria’s aging national team players and I hope they are guided well to get the best for this country”, Amun, who also coached Nigeria’s Flying Eagles said, hoping that the youngsters would graduate through the ranks to play for the Flying Eagles, Olympic U-23 Dream Team and the senior national team, the Super Eagles.
