Eagles Salute President Jonathan For Support

The Super Eagles were unequivocal in their declaration that President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, (GCFR), has been their number one supporter in the run up to a splendid display at the Nations Cup in South Africa and a smooth run through the World Cup qualifiers.
Speaking through stand-in skipper, Vincent Enyeama, the team also heaped praises on the Alhaji Aminu Maigari-led Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, whose leadership they said have been above board regarding football management.
The Eagles did not leave out the National Sports Commission leadership of Hon Bolaji Abdulahi, which Enyeama noted has been directing the NFF aright.
Speaking in London, the team noted that but for the support of relevant government agencies starting from Mr President, the team would not have gone far in their ambition.
He then used the opportunity to remind Mr President and Senate President, David Mark of their promise to boost the team after qualification for the World Cup.
“We know that they are very busy officials who will in no time make good their promises to ensure that the team are boosted and well prepared for the World Cup in Brazil next year.
“Mr President has been visiting our preparatory sessions and the Senate President has been our avid supporter, that is why we must remain focused to keep doing the nation proud”.
