
Nigeria’s Super Eagles moved up one place from number 43 to 42 in the latest FIFA ranking of Men’s national football teams, despite their failure to qualify for the African Nations Cup, concluded in Equatorial Guinea this month.
Nigeria is seventh in Africa, while Algeria maintain her number one position and 18th in the world despite failing at the quarter-finals of the 2015 AFCON.
Also, current champions of the Nations Cup, Côte d’Ivoire are ranked 2nd best team on the continent and 20th in the World, while runners up in AFCON Ghana are third in Africa and 25th in the world.
