Eagles Land In South Africa, Set For CHAN

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in South Africa and are getting set for the 2014 African nations Championship, CHAN, beginning on Saturday, 11 January.
The 23-man squad with the crew except the manager, Stephen Keshi, who departed the nation’s shore on Tuesday night to Johannesburg, South Africa landed at the CHAN venue early Wednesday.
Media Officer of the team, Ben Alaiya said on a live Radio interview with brilafm, that the Eagles landed safely, and were scheduled to take a connecting flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town, where they would play their first round matches.
“This is to inform Nigerians that the Eagles arrived in South Africa safely early today (Wednesday), and we are embarking on a two-hour flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town around 7am. All the players are in high spirits”, Alaiya said.
he Eagles are in Group A with the hosts, South Africa, Mali and Mozambique. The Nigerian team will kick start their CHAN title campaign against West African foes, Mali in Cape Town on Saturday.
