
Serbia’s Novak Djokovic has been seeded number one for this year’s Australian Open, while five-time champion Serena Williams is top seed for the Women’s event.
The tournament, which is the first Grand Slam of the New Year, begins on Monday, 19 January, 2015 and will run through 1 February. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are seeded second and third respective in the Men’s category, while Britain’s Andy Murray, a three-time finalist, is seeded sixth.
Former champion Victoria Azarenka, who is ranked 41st in the world after an injury-hit 2014, is unseeded.
