Danagogo Hails Falcons’ 8-0 Mauling Of Rwanda

Sports Minister Dr. Tammy Danagogo has congratulated the senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons on their resounding victory over Rwanda and qualification for the African Women’s Championship, AWC holding in Namibia in October this year.
The Falcons yesterday trounced the Rwandan team 8-0 to qualify 12-1 on aggregate, thus sending a clear signal on their quest to retain the trophy once again,
“The Falcons have once again done us proud by not only qualifying but doing it in style, beating their opponents 8-0. This is no mean feat and they just reassured Nigerians that they mean to continue to rule Africa. I’m proud of them and they kept to their promise to me when I visited them at their training session that they were going to qualify”, he said.
Coach of the team, Edwin Okon thanked the minister for his goodwill message and assured him that they were going to AWC with high hopes.
