The management of Crown Football Club of Ogbomoso has announced Monday, 15 December, 2014 as resumption and commencement date of training for the 2015 Nigerian National League, NNL, season.
Kunle Oyeleye, the Media Officer of Crown FC said in a press release sent to eyeonthesports.com that the Club are poised to fight their way back to the top flight, hence the management’s resolve to begin early preparations for the new season.
It would be recalled that Crown campaigned in the recently concluded Nigeria Premier League season, and ended with a dismal performance, which culminated in their eventual relegation to a less colorful league.
The Technical Manager of Crown FC, Hakeem Busari said his early resumption in camp is to get lots of things ready ahead of the tough challenge of steering the team to gain promotion.
The coach maintained that setting out to gain promotion is different from just to campaign in the NNL, hence his decision for early resumption. He added that life in the Nigeria National League is tougher than that of elite league.
He however called on the returnee players not to joke with time and his program, warning that every offense carries penalty in the new season.
Oyekunle told eyeonthesports.com that management of the club has saddled the sweat merchant with the responsibility of returning the club to the elite cadre, and ensure the club are always in fine form throughout the coming season.
