Court Order Stops NFF Congress Again

A Federal High Court in Jos on Friday, 19 September, says it has granted an injunction to stop a Congress of the Aminu Maigari-led board, slated to hold in Warri, Delta State on Saturday, 20 September, 2014.
The court orders was said to have been served on the defendants by electronic or print media.
The court order has aborted the Congress billed to commence in Warri. However, the delegates who have arrived in Warri from all parts of the nation shall have to return home empty handed.
According to reports, the Plaintiffs in the matter are Yahaya Adama and Obinna Ogba, who sued for themselves and on behalf of the members of the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, elected on 26 August, 2014.
The defendants in the matter are; Alhaji Aminu Maigari, Musa Amadu, the Plateau State Football Association and the Minister of Sports, Dr Tammy Danagogo.
