Prophet Peter Abiola Adebisi of the Christ Miracle Church Mission, CMCM, on Wednesday, 20 November, hosted the recently crowned Golden Eaglets goalkeeper, Dele Alampasu at its secretariat in Akiode, Ojodu area of Lagos, and blessed him to go higher in his career as a footballer.
Eyeonthesports.com reports that Alampasu is one of the numerous young players discovered and nurtured by the CMCM Champions of Fire Football Club, that specialize in helping the youths to actualise their potential.
The Man of God, apart from giving Alampasu, a cheque bearing an undisclosed amount of money, also ensured that the congregation contributed thousands of Naira to appreciate the best goalkeeper at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup held in UAE.
While showering encomiums on Alampasu during the Church’s midweek service at Akiode, Prophet Adebisi, a former student of the Oyo State College of Arts and Science, where he was called to the ministry, praised the goalie for his exemplary performance at the World Cup. He described the keeper as a good ambassador of the assembly of God.
“We are happy about the success achieved by the Golden Eaglets and as a Church, we salute your talent and pray that God raises you up to get to the pinnacle of your career”, Prophet Adebisi told eyeonthesports.com.
Shortly after anointing Alampasu in the Church auditorium, he said the goalkeeper needs moral, financial and spiritual support of the Church, especially now that he has shot to the limelight through Nigeria’s creditable performance at the junior World Cup.

The Prophet however admonished Alampasu not to get carried away with his fame, and urged him to beware of women, friends, and that he must get closer to God, adding that his chances of making it big in life, has to do with prayers.
“My initial plan was to give Alampasu a car to show him how much we love and appreciate him as a member of CMCM, but I’m not sure if he is matured to control such a huge asset. That’s why I converted the gift to cash for him”.
Reacting to Prophet Adebisi’s gesture, Alampasu said: “I’m short of words to describe how I feel. It’s a great honour to be recognised by the Man of God and the Church. I’m proud to be a member of CMCM and I’m happy about these gifts, I pray that God continues to bless the Church”.
Alampasu is not the only player who has been blessed to excel by the Church. Incumbent Super Eagles Chief Coach, Stephen Keshi also received the anointing of CMCM before he was appointed to his position in 2010.
The Prophet had predicted that Keshi would be appointed coach of the senior national team, and went ahead to prophesied that Keshi would lead Nigeria to win the African Cup of Nations held in South Africa this year. All these came to pass, as Keshi also visited the CMCM congregation sometime ago to do a ‘Thanks Giving’.
The endless list of those who received the anointing of the Church also had Turkey-based defender Godfrey Oboabona, whom the Prophet Prophesied would play for the Super Eagles.

Eyeonthesports.com further gathered that Prophet Adebisi singled out Oboabona for the prophesy when he was spotted in the Sunshine Stars Football team that came to pray ahead of their CAF continental championship.
When confronted for comments about his relationship with footballers and other sports men and women, who throng to his Church for prayers, the Man of God said: “The priority of Christ Miracle Church Ministry, CMCM, is to help the youths in our society to develop their God- given talents”.
Prophet Adebisi, who was called into the ministry in 1987, is indeed a football enthusiast, who continues to use the faith of the fast-growing Church to provide the enabling avenues where the youths can maximize their talents.
“One of our belief in CMCM is to train and guide the youths so that they can develop their hidden talents. That’s why we have taken it as a point of duty in our church to help these young boys and girls so that they can be useful to themselves and the society, he told eyeonthesports.com.

“It is dangerous for the society to leave the youths without monitoring them. They can come back to haunt the society if they don’t have anything worthwhile to do with their lives.
“There society must devote more time to the youths so that they can become successful in the near future. That’s the only way they can be useful to themselves and their generation,” Prophet Adebisi said.
The Prophet further revealed that the decision of the church to help the youths to develop their talents gave birth to their Champions of Fire Football Club, which is sponsored by the ministry.
“It is not only about sports but we also take time to teach them the word of God and Bible precept. We encourage them to always follow the line of righteousness everywhere they find themselves,” added Adebisi.
Meanwhile, ex-international, Henry Amatokwu, the Chief Coach of CMCM Club told eyeonthesports.com that the Champions of Fire International Football Club won a silver medal in the Salvation Cup tournament, while the team also feature in many grassroots competitions across the country.
