Chelsea Ride Over Hull To Top EPL

Chelsea went to the top of the Barclays Premier League with a 2-0 win over Hull City at the KC Stadium. Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres each scored in the second half to give Jose Mourinho’s side a vital win.
Chelsea may leave the top spot depending on the results of Arsenal and Manchester City this weekend.
The match came to life in the 23rd minute when Chelsea keeper Petr Cech produced a brilliant save to deny the home side from taking the lead.
Yannick Sagbo did brilliantly, chasing a long ball down into the corner and holding up the play before picking out Jake Livermore in the centre. The midfielder lashed a low strike towards Cech’s goal but the keeper got down to it and parried the shot away.
The best chance of the game fell to Oscar on the half hour mark. Ashley Cole scooped a pass over the defence which Hazard crossed into the centre of the box.
A fortuitous deflection placed the ball at the feet of Oscar on the penalty spot, with plenty of time to pick his spot. He hammered a shot on target but it was close to Hull keeper Allan McGregor who made a vital save to turn it over the top.
