Bridge FC Regain Metro Pro League Top Spot

Bridge Football Club are back on top of the Metro Pro League table after defeating their Yobo FC counterparts by 2-1 at the Agege Stadium on Thursday.
Yobo FC who were the home team started the tie on a good note, as they went ahead via a penalty that was converted by Ayinde Abiodun after Bridge’s goalkeeper heavily collided with an onrushing attacker.
The Harry Ohioze-tutored lads maintained the lead for the entire first half and would have increased the tally but poor marksmanship by striker Afefu Obanowa was the bane for Yobo FC.
On resumption of play in the second half, Bridge FC settled down into the game and grabbed an equalizer through Lokosa Sewanu who nodded in from a close range.
Yobo FC were reduced to ten-men when Udoka Eboagwu was issued a straight red card for a dangerous play on his opponent.
Few minutes later, Ogbonna Isaac won another header to grabbed the match winner for his team. The Bridge Boys with 9 points are now ahead of Apapa Golden Stars and Remo Stars who both have 7 points so far in the league.
In the other match of the day, Collins Edwin Sports Club played a scoreless draw against 36 Lion Football Club at Onikan Stadium.
Meanwhile, AS Racine will battle Nath Boys at the Agege Stadium on Saturday in a Metro Pro League Week 4 last game.
