Founder of Champions of Fire Football Club, Prophet Abiola Adebisi marked his 51st birthday in grand style with a special service on Wednesday, 15 January, 2014 at the headquarters of his Christ Miracle Church Ministry, CMCM in Akiode, Ojode-Berger area of Lagos State.
Prophet Adebisi was joined by players and officials of his pet team; Champions of Fire FC, their Coach Henry Amatokwu and members of the church to celebrate the memorable day.
Apart from cutting special cakes to mark the day, the CMCM Prophet was thrilled by a ball juggler inside the church auditorium, where he predicted that the Nigerian team would defeat Mozambique in their African Nations Championship, CHAN played on Wednesday night in south Africa.
During his birthday messages to Nigerian sports men and women, Prophet Adebisi disclosed that he has been praying for them to get to the pinnacle of their chosen careers.
The sports loving Prophet reiterated that his church’s team; Champions of Fire FC would continue to provide the avenues for the youths to actualise their potentials as future footballers.
“I’m showing a special interest in the youths because they are leaders of tomorrow. And, I see sport as a catalyst to change the lives of the young ones for the better. So, the establishment of our club is to ensure that the youths use their energy judiciously, thereby diverting their attention away from social vices”, Adebisi declared.
“A typical example of our club’s discoveries is Golden Eaglets goalkeeper, Dele Alampasu, who won the U-17 World Cup with the Nigerian team recently. Alampasu was discovered from this CMCM football club, and he is now a testimony to the blessings that many youths have benefited from our church.
“Shortly after the U-17 World Cup, Alampasu came here to do thanks giving and I anointed him and prophesied that he will soon be called to the Super Eagles. Alampasu is now with the Super Eagles competing in the South Africa 2014 African Nations Championship, CHAN”.
Although, Nigeria is not ranked among the top three in African football, but Adebisi said he sees a united Nigeria rising to the number spot in all ramifications on the continent including sports.
Prophet Adebisi, an ex-footballer popularly known as ‘Algeria’ during his school days, said: “God told me that Nigeria will be number one in Africa ahead of South Africa”.
On the political scene in the country; Adebisi admonished the Nigerian youths not to allow themselves to be used during the coming elections, and advised the politicians to work for the good of the nation, and urged them not to abuse the young and innocent ones.
