ABS To Celebrate Xmas In Camp

Nigeria National League, NNL, side Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club of Ilorin have made it known that players and officials will not go on break for Christmas celebrations. Addressing news men on Thursday in Abuja, General Manager of the Saraki Owned Club, Alloy Chukwuemeka said the directive became necessary in view of the short time left before the kick off of the NNL season fixed for 25 January 2014.
He said his team require time to screen most of the invited players, even as he further confirmed the exit of 13 of their key players to various Premier League clubs.
Chukwuemeka, who doubles as the Acting Secretary of the Club Owners Association of Nigeria, also disclosed the readiness of the Ilorin pro-side to name a new coach for the club soon, though he declined to mention the identity of the would be coach.
He however admitted the exit of coach kabir Dogo to Nasarawa United, and said the club wished the gaffer best of luck in his new assignment.
According to him “Yes I can confirm to you of the movement of Coach Dogo to Nasarawa United, he is such a humble, hardworking and honest coach, we wish him luck in his new job.
“As for us now no christmas break for the team because we need to do a thorough screening to replace about 13 of our old players that left for big clubs. “So we hope to name a new coach soonest”, chukwuemeka said.
Meanwhile, ABS will host Abia Commets in Ilorin on 25 January to commence their return to the premier league.
