8 Killed In Gombe Park Explosion

Reports Friday say there was a bomb explosion at a motor park in Gombe, north-east Nigeria.
Prompt News Online reports that no fewer than eight persons are said to have died in the explosion.
The motor park known as Gombe Line is owned by Gombe State Government.
Few weeks ago, there was an explosion in neighbouring Bauchi State, which killed no fewer than five persons and left about 12 others injured.
Also on Wednesday, Boko Haram insurgents attacked Mubi, the second largest town in Adamawa State.
All the attacks are coming after a ceasefire agreement was reported to have been reached between the Federal Government and the Boko Haram sect.
In the last five years, deadly attacks occasioned by the activities of Boko Haram have claimed thousands of lives and property worth millions of naira destroyed.
The escalation of attacks compelled the federal government to declare an emergency rule in the three frontline States of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe.
But despite the enforcement of emergency rule, violence and attacks have not abated. As at the time of filling this report, there has been no official statement on this latest bomb explosion.
