Players of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan have called off their strike action that lasted for four days.
After a marathon meeting with the management of the team and representatives of the Oyo State Government on Friday, 16 September, 2016, the players agreed to put on hold their strike action following government’s promise to settle their areas of bonuses and salaries before their Week 37 game against Wikki Tourist of Bauchi.
With the development, the players are back in training and are scheduled to travel to Warri on Saturday morning to honour their Week 36 game against Warri Wolves.
The strike action officially began on Tuesday, 13 September, 2016 as the players complained that they were owed months of salaries while the management placed them on half salary since the begining of last season.
