3SC Plan Early Return To Elite League

Two weeks to the commencement of the Nigeria National League, NNL, new season, the management of Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC, of Ibadan has concluded plans to return the team to the elite division where it rightly belongs.
Akinyele Akinwumi, Welfare Officer of the Oluyole Warriors disclosed that Shooting Stars will approach the competition with every sense of seriousness, pointing out that the government and people of Oyo State will want to see their darling club make an early return to the top division.
According to the football administrator, the coaching crew and the players have spoken of the expectations of the good people of Oyo State, adding that the team are positioned now to take the league by storm from the first match against Remo Stars FC, Ogun State in what looks like a local derby on Saturday, 15 February, 2014.
“All hands are on deck to ensure that Shooting Stars bounce back to the Nigeria Football Premier League cadre, where we belong. This is why the management has provided the enabling environment so that we can actualize our dreams this season”, Akinwumi revealed.
Meanwhile, most of the clubs have either intensified their training in readiness for the commencement of the season on 15 January, 2014 or are engaged in inter-club pre-season friendly matches to keep their players in tip top shape for the tough matches ahead.
Among the clubs that have taken serious steps to get their players ready for the league kick-off are Abubakar Bukola Saraki, ABS, FC of Kwara State, which have lined up friendly matches with both Premiership and National League clubs.
The other clubs that are busy preparing for the start of the season are Kwara United, Prime FC, Kogi United, FRSC, First Bank, DSS and Ranchers Bees of Kaduna.
