2013 League Bloggers Awards For 20 November

This year’s League Bloggers Awards, LBA, end-of-the-season recognition for clubs, players and coaches in the Glo Premier League will now take place on 20 November, at Sheraton Hotels and Towers in Lagos.
The 2013 edition of the LBA, according to the organisers, is a black tie event and will begin from 7pm Nigerian time.
“Last year we did a green carpet event and it was to show that the league is rich and blessed with talented players which, signifies the colour of green.
“This year, we have decided to hold a black tie event. Our choice of a black tie event is to signify the power, authority and elegance exhibited in the course of the 2012/13 season by key actors in the Nigerian top flight,” CEO of the LBA, Ojeikere Aikhoje explained the idea behind the black tie.
Former Nigeria international, Jonathan Akpoborie and popular radio On-Air Personality and SuperSport’s Follow Ya Mouth judge, Tega Onojaife, are hosts of the awards night.
Expected at the award ceremony, which is a media event, in Lagos are officials of the League Management Company, LMC, and the club owners as well as the nominees.
Seventeen categories are up for grabs including the highest goal scorer award, which will go to Victor Namo of Nasarawa United for scoring 19 goals in the 2012/13 season.
