Yobo Relishes Goal For Fenerbache

*ON TARGET…Yobo scores in Fenerbache’s 2-3 loss to Konyaspor
FC, as the Turkish League season kicks off on Saturday. 

 
Although, Joseph Yobo’s club, Fenerbache lost their opening match of the 2013-2014 Turkish Super League season to Konyaspor Football Club on Saturday, the Super Eagles skipper is relishing his first goal of the new football season.

Konyaspor defeated Fenerbache 3-2 to send warning signals to other Turkish clubs that the new season will be competitive.
However, the out of favour Eagles’ defender Yobo, netted Fenerbahce’s first league goal of the season in the 16th minute. He jumped above Konyaspor’s defenders and headed home a cross from Emre Belozoglu.  

“It was nice I scored, but it would have been fine if we won the game”, said the Nigerian, who joined the Turkish side from English Premier League side, Everton. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce will host Arsenal in one of the UEFA Champions League playoff matches in Turkey on Tuesday.
