Wuraola Ojo Memorial Tourney Ends In Ondo

This year’s Elizabeth Wuraola Ojo Memorial Golf Tournament held at the Smokin’ Hills Golf Course, Ilara Mokin in Ondo State has ended with Sofela  Nojim, the Resident professional of the Miccom Golf Club Adda, Osun and Shade Ajala of the Ogbomosho Golf Club winning the professional and Ladies golf events.

Nojim posted 72 gross to win professional event but failed to make the Hole-in-one which would have qualified him to drive home the exotic 3.5 Toyota Camry, which was sponsored by Toyota Nigeria Limited.

Lasis Lateef of the Abeokuta Golf Club posted a gross of 74 for the second place while Enaigbe Victor of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Benin posted a gross of 75 for the third place .

Ajala scored a total of 47 points to win the Ladies event, while Dupe John of Ekiti Golf Club placed second  with a total of 38 points just as  Opawunmi Shade of Ewekoro scored 36 points for the third place.

A total of 17 pros and 12 ladies entered for the Toyota Nigeria Limited-sponsored tournament to mark the 11th anniversary of Chief Mrs Wuraola  Ojo passing on.
