Oyo Squash Body Holds 2nd DTECH Catch-Em-Young Tourney

The Oyo State Squash Association is set to hold the 2nd edition of DTECH South-West U-16 Squash Championship.

The 3-day championship, tagged “CATCH THEM YOUNG”, sponsored by DTECH Renewable Energywill, holds from Thursday 24 August, 2017 through 26 of the same month.

In a press statement signed by spokesman of the association and board member, Mr Kayode Ayeni, said a new Squash Hall located inside the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, venue of the championship, would be commissioned during the opening ceremony.

The Chairman, Oyo State Squash Association, who doubles as the Main Organizing Committee Chairman, Engr. Doyin Adeyela says the championship is geared at introducing the game of Squash to young players and also to promote the sport in Oyo State.

The dignitaries expected at the event includes the President, Nigerian Squash Federation, Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Barrister Abayomi Oke, who doubles as the Chairman, Squash Associations in the six South-West States, President of Ibadan Recreation Club, Mr Babatunde Fisher and General Manager, Oyo State Sports Council, Mr Gboyega Makinde.
