Olu Falae’s Abductors Demand N100m

The abductors of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Chief Oluyemisi Falae, have demanded the sum of N100 million in exchange for the politician’s freedom.

The Director of Administration and Publicity of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the Ondo state, Remi Olayiwola, disclosed this to journalists in Akure.

“Baba went to his farm as usual in Ilado. The gunmen went to his farm, attacked and kidnapped him. The abductors have contacted Chief Olu Falae’s wife and they are demanding the sum of N100m before they would release him,” he said.

Reactions from various quarters have continued to pour in since the news of Falae’s abduction broke out.

The Ondo State government Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade, has assured the public that the state government would rescue Falae by all means. He said urgent security meeting had been summoned.

Asamo of Akure, High Chief Rotimi Olusanya, while expressing shock at the abduction, said Akure traditional council would do everything to secure Falae’s freedom.
