NSC Offers Eagles $100k To Beat Morocco

NSC Boss Bolaji Abdullahi

The National Sports Commission, NSC, has announced an incentive of $100,000 for the Nigerian Super Eagles team participating in the ongoing African Nations Championship, CHAN, in South Africa, if they beat the Atlas Lions of Morocco in their quarter final match slated for Saturday.
The Nigerian team qualified for the quarter final after beating hosts; South Africa’s Bafana Bafana 3-1 and also triumphed 4-2 against Mozambique to place second from Group A.
The Honourable Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi disclosed on Thursday that the incentive was to motivate the Nigerian team to give their very best and to triumph over the Moroccans.
“This is a special fund meant to encourage the players to give their all. It is besides their normal allowance and bonus.
“I am very impressed with their performance so far. As we can see, the team have been improving with each match, and it is our desire that they continue to do very well and reach the final.
“This incentive will hopefully further boost the morale of both the players, their coaches and help the team to triumph over Morocco”, Abdullahi stated.
