Golden Eaglets prolific scorer at UAE 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup, Kelechi Iheanacho scored a beautiful goal in his debut match for Manchester City against Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday, eyeonthesports.com reports.
And, scoring for a top English Premier League side as City in his very first match should call for real celebration, but Iheanacho only opened his arms in amazement, and forgot to celebrate in the usual ‘yes yes yes’ style of his Wrestling idol, Daniel Bryan.
Iheanacho netted the fourth goal in Man City’s 4-1 mauling of Kansas City as their pre-season tour of the United States began on a winning note.
Eyeonthesports.com recalls that Iheanacho snatched the headlines with his unique ‘yes yes yes’ celebration each time he scored for the gold-winning Eaglets of Nigeria during the U-17 World Cup held in the United Arab Emirates, UAE.
Iheanacho takes after WWE superstar and world champion, Bryan who raises his fore-fingers to celebrate his victories in wrestling championships.
Ihenacho joined Manchester City Youth team following his superb display for Nigeria at the U-17 World Cup last year.
Now that he is18, the talented youngster was included in City’s squad alongside the big boys selected for the pre-season tour by Coach Manuel Pellegrini.
Having scored in his first match for Man City, Pellegrini may hand Iheanacho another chance in their next match against Milan on Sunday, 27 July.
