Flying Eagles’ Progress Excites Coach Garba

Garba coach of Flying Eagles

Coach Manu Garba has praised the Flying Eagles on their winning start on a training tour of Germany ahead of the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
The African champions brushed past Hoffenheim U-23 5-2 on Tuesday as part of the build-up to the U-20 World Cup, which starts on 30 May.
“We started the game slowly, but we later picked up to play our normal game,” said Manu after the thrilling encounter.
“It was a good outing overall and I will score us about 70 per cent.
“But again we need to work on our defence by taking on more defensive responsibilities and our finishing has to be better as we lost several chances.
“All the same, we should also praise the Hoffenheim team, they are a team of professional players and they took the game to us very early on.”
The Flying Eagles next game will be on Friday afternoon in Nurnberg against the Nurnberg U-23 side, before they play their final warm-up match against Freiburg U-23 team on 19 May.
