“When I rushed there, I was ashamed to see my wife through the window with a married man in his room, making love.
“That day, I sent her packing, she came back four months later and started begging me to forgive her which I did but up till now she still flirts with men,” he said.

“My wife visits her male friends at a public bar (beer parlour) and drinks alcohol. I warned her against moving with male friends, but she did not heed my warning.”
“On many occasions, she drank herself to stupor and fell inside gutter, I was always called by neighbours to come and carry her,” the estranged man said.
He begged the Court to dissolve the 22-year-old marriage that had produced four children.
“Please, terminate our marriage, I am no longer interested,” he said.
On her part, Yemisi denied sleeping with any man apart from her husband. She said that all the claims of her husband are not true; that she has never been adulterous.

“The man is an orthopaedic person and he helped me, we never had sex,” she said.
The 50-year-old trader said that she visit beer parlor because her husband abandoned her for another woman.
“Since he brought another woman into the house, he is always in her room 24/7 and abandoned me. Because I don’t want to have hypertension, I go to beer parlor with my friends to enjoy.
“l don’t consume excessive alcohol but drink moderately,” she said.
The respondent said that her husband beat her at will.
“My husband beats me always, I would have left his house, but I still endure the marriage for the sake of my children,” she said.
Yemisi begged the Court not to grant her husband’s wish for the dissolution of the marriage that she was still in love with him.
The Court President, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, adjourned the case to September 19 for judgement.
