Cameroonian House Help Imprisoned For Allegedly Stabbing Woman-Employer To Death

A Cameroonian domestic servant, Ledjou Kouemou, 21, who allegedly stabbed his employer, Temidayo Adeleke, to death in her residence, has been remanded in a Lagos prison.

Kouemou was arraigned on a charge of murder before Chief Magistrate Oluyemisi Adelaja sitting in Ebute Meta.

He allegedly killed the woman, who had just returned from U.S.  for failing to pay him December salary in advance.

The domestic servant is to remanded at Ikoyi Prisons pending legal advice from the State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The case has been Feb. 24, 2017 for mention.

The prosecution told the court that the accused committed the offence on Dec. 20 at about 9.30 p.m. at Parkview Estate, Ikoyi.

“The accused stabbed her with a kitchen knife on her chest resulting in her death.”
