Boko Haram Releases Corps Member Kidnapped Since January

A corps member, Halima Uwani Umar, kidnapped in January 2019 by Boko Haram in the North-east, has been freed, says the Borno State government.

“The insurgents released Ms. Umar as a sign of goodwill to commit to a new process of resolving the conflicts in the region.

It was gathered that the state government, the military, the DSS played vital roles in deploying professional field experience and strategic cover for the process.”
