After defeating Delta Force of Asaba 92-67 points at the Indoor Sports Hall of Adamasingba Sports Complex in Ibadan, and recording their fourth consecutive victory in the Atlantic Conference of The Kwese Nigeria Basketball League, Coach of the Oluyole Warriors of Ibadan, Taye Oshibogun attributed his side’s achievement to hard work.
Oshibogun described his team’s current form as fulfilling, saying the technical crew is really working hard to ensure team chemistry and his players complementing the effort by playing to instruction in every game.
The Oluyole Warriors out-dunked Delta Force of Asaba on Thursday to record their first home win of the season in grand fashion at Adamasingba Sports Complex.
The game, which was delayed by over an hour as a result of the hosts’ inability to provide security at the venue of the game, started on an explosive note, with the Oluyole Warriors losing the first quarter 18:21.
The hosts eventually claimed the following three quarters winning 37:29, 61:40 and 92:67 points respectively to end a fantastic game on the day.
Sunday Atibiyun of the Warriors emerged the highest scorer of the game with 16 points.
Meanwhile, Delta Force Coach Aikoroje Benson blamed his team’s defeat on loss of concentration by his players in the closing stages of the game.
