Nigeria will be having no fewer than seven of her players in the semi final of the All Africa individual Badminton championship in Algiers, Algeria on Sunday.

The Duo of Enejoh Abah and Peace Orji will be hoping for a place in Sunday’s mixed doubles final after beating Bilal El harab and Rajae Rochdy coming from a set down to win 15-21, 21-9, 21-8 in the quarter final.
Another semi final event of the competition will see Zainab Momoh and Peace Orji in the women’s doubles after their victorious outing against Gladys Mbabazi and Aisha Nakiyemba which ended 21-15, 21-9 in another quarter final game.
In the women’s singles quarter final encounter were some emotional moment for Team Nigeria as Dorcas Adesokan defeated another Nigerian Deborah Ukeh 21-11, 21-15 to qualify for one of the spots in the women’s singles semi final.
It was sweet revenge for Nigeria against Host Algeria as Habeeb Temitope Bello defeated Youcef Sabri 21-13, 16-21, 21-10 to qualify for the Men’s singles semi final berth.
Habeeb will also have the company of another Nigerian in the men’s singles semi final after Clement Krobapor’s victory against fellow country man Anuoluwapo Opeyorin ended 21-16, 21-19 in another emotional affair.
